As an intelligent and attractive actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role-model for several Asian actors working in Hollywood who wish to make it big. The actress gained notoriety after several popular roles in shows. In the Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. Her sudden fame translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii.
