Cartwright married Steve Gullion in 1976. The couple has two children. Angela Cartwright was born and raised in England as the youngest cousin of actor Veronica Cartwright. Bonanza was one of the first westerns on television to show in color. The plot focused on the Cartwrights, a fictional, family of ranchers who lived near Virginia City Nevada a real mining town in the mid 1800s. In the show Marie My Love the actor was the youngest son of Cartwright. Their mother was of French Creole origin.
